Professional Version 10.0 by Midnight Software, Inc.
DeltaCad Version 10.0 includes the following new features:
- Save recent versions of all files: DeltaCad now saves a backup copy of your drawing every time you save it. This is very useful when you discover that you have made a mistake, but you have saved your drawing several times since the mistake. Now you can go back and retrieve a copy of the drawing before the mistake. Just pick "Open Recent Version of File" from the "File" menu, and open an older version. Each saved drawing lists the time and date that it was saved. By default, DeltaCad will keep copies of the last 300 saves, but you can change that number.
- PNG image support: DeltaCad can now import and export .png files.
- Batch Printing: You can now print several drawings at once. Just pick "Batch Printing" from the "File" menu, go to the folder where your drawings are located, hold down the CTRL key, and pick all the drawings that you would like to print. Then pick the "Print Batch" button.
- Command Line Printing: You can now print your drawing directly from the command line. This is very useful if you want to create a .BAT file to print several drawings at once.
"C:\Program Files (x86)\DeltaCad\deltacad.exe" /P first.dc
"C:\Program Files (x86)\DeltaCad\deltacad.exe" /P second.dc
"C:\Program Files (x86)\DeltaCad\deltacad.exe" /P third.dc
- Change order of Print Regions: You can now change the order of print regions. This will change the order that they will be printed in.
- Newer .DWG file support: The .dwg/.dxf file format is always changing. DeltaCad now supports a newer version.
- .DWG/.DXF export options: When exporting a drawing to a .dwg or .dxf file, you now have the option to only export from a specific layer, or selected objects. This can be very useful when exporting data for CNC.
- Rotate Selected Objects with repeat: When using the Rotate Selected Objects function, you can now specify a repeat count. This is useful when creating a bolt circle, or any other repeating pattern.
- Grid Lines: You now have the option for either grid lines or grid dots.
- Deleting a Layer: When trying to delete a layer that isn't empty, a window will now pop up with an option to move the items to the default layer.
- Edit Group: When editing a grouped object, there is now a box to check that will cause all items inside the group to change to the same layer as the group insert. Prior to this, if you changed the layer of a group insert, it didn't change the layer of the items that made up the group. This would make the group insert on one layer, but the items inside the group on another layer, and cause a lot of confusion.
- Change Layer of Selected Objects: The change layer of selected objects function now has a check box to include changing the layer of items inside the selected groups.
- Numerous misc. small improvements:
